The quantum industry needs many different types of people, with many different types of skills! There could be a career which is just right for you.
Quantum science is helping us build some of the most world’s most advanced technology, aimed at solving some of humanity’s biggest challenges. However, there’s more than just science behind this – the quantum industry needs all kinds of different people to be successful. Whether you’re an engineer building devices, a strategist pulling the strings, or a communicator sharing your passions, there’s a place for you somewhere in the quantum industry.
We, the Quantum Engineering, Science and Technology Centre (QuEST), would like to highlight the fact that anyone can be a part of the quantum industry – it’s just a matter of finding the right role.
About IAQP
In recent years, quantum technology has captured the imagination of the public, spreading throughout film, television and social media.
Despite this, the emerging quantum industry is not seen as a realistic career option for many young people, largely due to stigma about difficulty and exclusivity, as well as a lack of practical information about how to become involved.
As real-life quantum technologies begin to enter our day-to-day lives, we would like to break existing stigma by identifying possible future career paths for young people, allowing us to build a diverse, motivated and widely-skilled workforce.
